We run a wholesale single-core copper wire factory in China supplying BV 60227 IEC 01 and H07V-U solid building wire, 450/750V PVC insulated. We support distributor restocking, project tenders and OEM reels with copper-index pricing, full size range, mill test reports, and flexible MOQ by coil, drum and mixed container.

1. What we wholesale: BV and H07V-U in one production system

Single-core copper building wire is not one product. For wholesale buyers, we separate it by conductor class and standard marking so distributors do not mix them by mistake.

BV / 60227 IEC 01: Chinese GB/T 5023.3 and IEC 60227-3 single-core rigid wire. Solid Class 1 as standard, stranded Class 2 on request. Used for conduit, trunking, panel internal wiring and fixed residential/commercial circuits.
H07V-U: European harmonized HD 21 / EN 50525 style single-core solid copper, 450/750V, PVC insulation, Class 1 solid. Same application family as BV but with HAR/HD marking preferred by EU, Middle East and Africa importers.
H07V-R: stranded rigid alternative if the buyer needs easier pulling in long conduit runs.
BVR / H07V-K: flexible versions for panel jumpers; not sold as “BV/H07V-U” because the conductor class is different.

We can print dual marks such as “BV 450/750V / 60227 IEC 01 / H07V-U” only when the construction is made and tested to the declared standards. We do not print approval marks without corresponding certification.

2. Technical parameters for wholesale lots

Reference values for 450/750V PVC 70°C single-core copper, solid Class 1. Figures follow IEC 60228 conductor class, IEC 60227-3 / HD 21 insulation dimensions and common factory tables.

Electrical and installation data:

Rated voltage U₀/U: 450/750V. Test voltage commonly 2500V AC for 450/750V building wire type tests, some supplier sheets list 4000V depending on standard and sample regime.
Normal conductor temperature: 70°C for standard PVC/C. Short-circuit maximum 160°C for up to 5 seconds, dependent on starting temperature and protection.
Installation ambient: not below 0°C for ordinary PVC extrusion unless low-temperature compound is ordered.
Bending radius: rigid single core usually quoted as 4× overall diameter for fixed installation; some harmonized internal-wiring datasheets use larger fixed-installed values, so we print the agreed installation rule on the quotation.
Flame: standard PVC supplied to IEC 60332-1 unless flame-retardant or LSZH is specified.
Colors: red/brown/black/grey phase, blue neutral, green-yellow earth, plus white/yellow/green on request. Earth wire is green-yellow only for protective conductor use.

Stranded wholesale versions use Class 2 construction, e.g. 10mm² 7×1.35mm nominal, slightly larger diameter and same resistance class.

3. Where distributors resell these wires

We prepare wholesale assortments for different sales channels rather than only selling full-size containers of one item.

Hardware / electrical retail: 1.5, 2.5, 4mm² in 100m coils, brown/blue/green-yellow standard set, printed BV or H07V-U depending on market.
Contractor supply: 1.5–10mm² in 100m/200m/500m coils, mixed colors, with test report copies for site handover.
Project wholesale: 4–16mm² drums for villas, schools, warehouses, with sequential meter marking and batch traceability.
OEM private label: neutral print or buyer’s brand, standard mark only, no third-party company names.
Export tenders: H07V-U with HD/IEC declarations, BV with GB/IEC declarations, CE/CCC/ROHS documents according to destination.

H07V-U is not for direct burial, not for open outdoor exposure without conduit/UV protection, and not for continuous flexing. For outdoor or underground projects we redirect buyers to sheathed/armored designs instead of quoting plain BV/H07V-U.

4. Wholesale price parameters, not fixed list price

PVC copper wire price is copper-dominated. We quote using a transparent formula instead of a static price sheet.

Indicative ex-works / FOB reference for standard 450/750V solid copper PVC, virgin PVC 70°C, standard colors, no special certification:

1.5 mm²: around USD 0.09–0.30/m for small/retail-style lots; platform wholesale listings show broader FOB ranges such as USD 0.09–0.30/m depending on volume, certification and packing.
2.5 mm²: around USD 0.10–0.35/m small lot; volume wholesale can come down substantially with copper-index pricing.
4 mm²: around USD 0.20–0.60/m reference; some platform entries list 4mm² house wire FOB about USD 0.24–0.52/m.
6 mm²: around USD 0.30–0.80/m depending on coil length and solid/stranded.
10 mm²: around USD 0.90–2.50/m for standard solid BV/H07V-U; wider platform ranges exist when certification, drum packing or special compound are included.

These are planning numbers, not offers. Final wholesale price moves with:

Copper base: we use LME or domestic copper index average over the pricing window. Copper weight example for solid wire: 1.5mm² ≈14.4 kg/km, 2.5mm² ≈24 kg/km, 4mm² ≈38–46 kg/km including overall cable weight, 6mm² ≈58–66 kg/km, 10mm² ≈96–110 kg/km depending on insulation and stranding.
Conductor class: solid BV/H07V-U is cheaper than stranded H07V-R and much cheaper than fine-strand H07V-K.
Size mix: a 1.5/2.5/4/6/10mm² mixed container has different setup cost than a full 2.5mm² container.
Packing: 100m retail coil costs more per meter than 500m drum; wooden drum adds cost versus plastic coil.
Certification: CE/ROHS lowest addition; CCC for China; VDE/third-party HAR-type approval adds document and sample cost; LSZH/fire-rated compounds add material cost.
Color count: 3-color standard set cheaper than 8–10 project colors in small runs.
Incoterms: EXW factory cheapest quote base; FOB adds local handling; CIF adds ocean freight, insurance and destination documentation.

Copper-index method we use for wholesale contracts

Quotation per km ≈ copper weight (kg/km) × copper price (USD/kg) × scrap/draw loss factor + PVC compounding + extrusion/labor/energy + packing + certification + margin.

Example logic, not live price: if 2.5mm² copper content is about 24kg/km and copper is USD 9/kg, raw copper value is about USD 216/km before processing; at 1000m coils the copper portion is roughly USD 0.216/m before PVC, labor and profit. When copper rises, we adjust only the copper portion under the contract’s index clause rather than re-quoting the whole wire.

For spot stock orders we hold the quoted price 3–7 days because copper changes daily. For contracts with 30+ days production/delivery, we use a fixed copper average or agree a fluctuation band.

5. MOQ, mixing and containers

Wholesale MOQ depends on whether the buyer wants stock print or OEM print.

Stock BV/H07V-U, standard colors: from 1,000m per size/color for trial wholesale; economical wholesale usually 10,000–50,000m per size.
Retail coil program: 100m coil, min 100–500 coils per size/color combination.
Drum program: 500m/1000m drum, min 5–10 drums per specification.
Mixed-size container: 1.5/2.5/4/6/10mm² in one 20ft or 40ft container is normal for distributors. We balance loading so light sizes do not waste drum space.
OEM print: higher MOQ, usually 20,000m+ per size/print run; neutral “BV 450/750V / H07V-U” print can sometimes start lower.
Custom colors/RAL/certified HAR print: MOQ confirmed after compound inventory and print plate setup.

A typical distributor restart assortment might be 1.5mm² brown/blue/earth, 2.5mm² same three colors, 4mm² brown/blue, 6mm² black/blue, 10mm² black/earth, all 100m or 500m packages. This gives retail shelf coverage without overstocking slow sizes.

6. Production and quality control for wholesale repeat orders

Because wholesale repeats must be consistent coil after coil, our routine control includes:

Incoming copper rod resistivity and diameter check.
Online conductor drawing/annealing monitoring; solid conductor held to IEC 60228 Class 1 diameter.
PVC compound batch record; virgin versus recycled strictly separated by order specification.
Laser diameter control for insulation concentricity; nominal thickness 0.7–1.0mm by size.
Spark test on every meter for insulation pinhole.
DC resistance test per lot; 20°C values verified against table limits, e.g. 2.5mm² ≤7.41Ω/km, 10mm² ≤1.83Ω/km.
Finished coil length verification, labeling, batch number, production date.
Optional third-party inspection by SGS/TÜV/project engineer before container loading.

We issue mill test certificate per lot. For recurring wholesale customers, we keep color, print plate, coil length and package specification on file so reorder variance stays minimal.

7. Lead time and shipping

Stock standard colors/sizes: 7–15 days for small wholesale.
Fresh production standard BV/H07V-U: 15–30 days.
Certified VDE/CCC/third-party HAR or LSZH: 25–45 days including sample approval.
Ocean from South China/foreign port: 15–35 days depending on destination.
Express samples: 1–5m per size by DHL/FedEx for technical check; sample freight to buyer.

We pack for long ocean transit: sealed coil ends, moisture barrier for drums, palletized coils for retail export, full drum protection for project wire.

8. FAQ

Q1. Is BV the same as H07V-U for wholesale?

Similar construction, different marking/system. BV is usually GB/T 5023 + 60227 IEC 01; H07V-U is HD/harmonized 450/750V solid. If your market accepts IEC only, BV/60227 IEC 01 is enough. If buyers ask for European HAR-style procurement, supply H07V-U with HD/IEC declarations. We can make identical physical wire and print both codes only when certified for both.

Q2. What wholesale size assortment sells best for residential channels?

Most distributors start with 1.5mm² lighting, 2.5mm² sockets, 4mm² AC/kitchen feeder, 6mm² water heater/subfeed, 10mm² EV/large AC. A 3-color phase/neutral/earth set in 1.5 and 2.5, plus single colors in 4/6/10, covers 80% of retail demand.

Q3. How is price affected if copper goes up after I place order?

For immediate stock quotes we fix price for a few days. For scheduled production we use a copper-index clause: if the agreed index moves beyond the band, only the copper portion is adjusted. This avoids sudden full-price renegotiation.

Q4. Can you wholesale mixed solid and flexible wire in one container?

Yes, but we label them separately. BV/H07V-U solid for fixed wiring, BVR/H07V-K flexible for panel/internal use. Do not let end users substitute flexible wire for conduit fixed wiring without checking local code.

Q5. What certifications can be printed for H07V-U exports?

Standard documents: ISO, factory test report to IEC 60227/HD 21, CE Low Voltage Directive declaration, ROHS. VDE or HAR-type approval, CCC, SABS, SASO and other local approvals are quoted case by case because each size/compound needs separate testing.

Q6. What is the smallest wholesale trial order?

For existing stock print, 1,000m per size/color. For private-label OEM, usually higher because of coil printing and packing setup. For new certified H07V-U with VDE/HAR mark, MOQ is confirmed after approval scope.

Q7. Why is 10mm² H07V-U more expensive per meter than 2.5mm² more than four times?

Not linear. 10mm² copper weight is roughly 4× 2.5mm², but insulation, drum packing, handling and lower turnover also raise cost. Also solid 10mm² is stiffer, so some markets buy 10mm² H07V-R stranded instead; stranded wholesale price is higher again.

Q8. Can H07V-U/BV be used outdoors or underground for wholesale project supply?

Standard unsheathed single core no. It must be in conduit/trunking indoors or protected routes. For outdoor/open trench we quote sheathed PVC cable, XLPE cable or armored cable separately. Wholesale buyers sometimes resell BV/H07V-U for indoor only and source underground cable from a different product line.

Q9. How do you guarantee coil length for wholesale?

We measure by metering machine and seal ends. Each coil/drum carries length, batch, size, voltage and standard. For retail claims we can provide ±length tolerance in the contract; project drums can have sequential meter marking.
